IN VITRO RESEARCH USE
ECO-Gel is a new coloring dye to detect nucleic acids in agarose gels. It is an alternative to Ethidium Bromide which is toxic and potentially mutagenic.
It releases a green fluorescence when it binds with DNA or RNA. It dissolves in DMSO.
Like with ethidium bromide, visualization is done with a UV light transilluminator. Add hot to the agarose solution in a final concentration of 1X.
NOTE:
-In order to increase sensitivity, gel thickness should be less than 0,5cm.
-This dye can irritate skin and eyes. Use gloves while handling.
This product is transported with cooling gel. Once received, keep at 4°C, away from light.
